Square Dance

Square Dance is a strip-friendly quilt composed of 36 blocks which are primarily constructed by 1 block design.  2-1/2 inch strips are cross-cut to make various sized patches.  Some units are strip-pieced prior to assembly providing the means in which to efficiently sew 13 patches into a 10 inch block framework.  Pieced patches are arranged to create two blocks:  B1 & B2.  Alternating & rotating blocks shapes the center of the quilt.   Three borders are joined as one set, and attached to the center to complete the bed-size quilt.

Many, many thanks to Kara Headrick & Shawn Leighton for making “Square Dance ” look so good!
